UK – The autumn edition of the Merchandise World was staged in Milton Keyes on September 10, for the first time under the title Sustainable Merchandise World. Whilst the Merchandise World in January is considered to be the traditional prelude for the British industry, the trade show in September is completely dedicated to sustainability from this year onwards. 90 exhibitors presented sustainable and environmentally-friendly items from the world of promotional products to the 343 visitors from 188 companies.
The distributors were allowed to bring their customers along for the first time to inform themselves directly on-site about the latest developments in sustainability. The trade show was jointly organised at the Arena MK by the industry service provider, Sourcing City and the BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association).
In addition to exciting conversations at the stands, lectures on sustainability issues awaited the interested visitors.
Next year, the Sustainable Merchandise World is scheduled to take place on September 23, at the Arena MK in Milton Keynes once again. www.merchandiseworld.co.uk
