PMGPromogift 2026 14 - PMG Promogift: Confidence in turbulent times

Suppliers like Makito exhibited at the PMG Promogift, represented by elaborate, CI-compatible stands.

E – The extensive renovation measures to the central halls of the Madrid Exhibition Centre in the Spanish capital didn’t detract from the positive atmosphere of the event: According to the official figures, over 160 exhibitors from a wide range of market segments presented their products and services at the PMG Promogift, the “international trade show for promotional products and personalisation technologies.” The event that was staged in Hall 12 from January 12-14, 2026, was once again organised by Ifema Madrid in collaboration with the two Spanish industry associations, aimfap and Fyvar. The 10th edition of C!print, an event that is particularly relevant for printing and customising companies, was held parallel in the adjacent Hall 14 from January 13-15, 2026. Visitors were required to prove their identity as industry professionals to attend both trade fairs and also had to register separately for each.

The suppliers of promotional merchandise at the PMG covered the entire spectrum of the market of promotional products. Classics and further developments as well as new colour ranges and optimisations were on display, but true innovations were rare. As in previous years, the show was dominated by textiles, companies often impressively exhibited their extensive product ranges.

Internationally operating suppliers were represented, as well as specialists offering specific products, such as sombreros – in some cases at very elaborate, CI-compatible stands. The presence of the market leader, Makito, was especially significant here: The import company, which is based in Pulpi-Almeria, Spain, dominated the hall with its impressive stand. The two Spanish associations also accentuated their presence with their own stand and exhibition space, offering existing and potential members the possibility to engage in an exchange while enjoying snacks and drinks.

The two Spanish industry associations, aimfap and Fyvar, underlined their presence at own stands and offered the opportunity to engage in an exchange while enjoying snacks and drinks.

While the frequency of visitors was relatively low on the first day, the exhibitors evidently enjoyed a good turn-out on the second day of the event. The majority of exhibitors were satisfied with the quality and quantity of the visitors, however the attendance figure wasn’t available at the time of going to press.

The trade show was accompanied by a lecture and seminar programme, which addressed themes such as the implementation of AI in the promotional products business, the relevance of sustainability and the topic of structural changes within the European industry. The recent mergers and take-overs between major importers and distributors were also topics discussed controversially at the stands.

Whilst the mood wasn’t euphoric due to the general uncertainty caused by the unstable political and economic framework conditions and the unpredictability of the future direction of the European haptic advertising industry, the atmosphere was neither subdued nor resigned either. It was characterised by cautious optimism that ways would be found to further enhance the sector’s proven innovative strength.

The next edition of the PMG is scheduled to take place from January 12-14, 2027 (parallel to the PSI Premiere in Cologne). The fair will once again be held at the Madrid Exhibition Centre.
