D – Könitz Porzellan GmbH is undergoing protective restructuring proceedings under self-administration in accordance with German insolvency law. According to the company, the initial ruling unexpectedly resulted in the granting of a bank attachment order. “To protect the company, we were forced to file for these self-administration proceedings to prevent the money from flowing abroad and to allow normal business operations to continue. The court granted the application,” the Managing Director of Könitz, Turpin Rosenthal, stated.

“We are expecting to have successfully completed the proceedings by the first quarter of next year.” Rosenthal claims that the day-to-day operations are not affected by the proceedings. “We continue to produce for our worldwide customers, our Könitz brand and custom-made designs.”

Könitz Porzellan was founded in the year 1909 and is known for its exceptional custom designs in colour reproduction and decoration, ranging from affordable to high-quality options.
