D – The textile specialist from Kaiserslautern, Fruit of the Loom, supported its trainee Viktoriia Dvornik by letting her have time off to participate in an Erasmus+ programme. Dvornik is currently completing her apprenticeship as a marketing communications specialist in Kaiserslautern and spent three weeks in Dublin, Ireland. Her apprenticeship status remained unchanged during this period, including her remuneration. The programme that is organised by the KBBZ Saarbrücken/Friedrich-List School (a designated “European School” participating in Erasmus+) aims to deepen language skills and develop intercultural skills.

“My school offered me the chance to take part in an internship in Dublin. This year was the first time

students from the field of marketing were invited to participate,” Dvornik stated. “Looking back, the internship was a fantastic opportunity for both professional and personal growth. I would participate again anytime and I think it is great that Fruit of the Loom allowed me to take advantage of this opportunity.”

During the first week, she completed an English course at ADC College; subsequently, Dvornik spent two weeks at Citas College Dublin, where she held discussions with teachers, observed teaching situations and sat in on exams. Simultaneously, she handled tasks for the marketing department, including planning small-scale events, brainstorming social media content and creating presentations. Upon completion, the participants received certificates documenting their successful participation in the programme.

Fruit of the Loom explicitly welcomes and supports trainees spending time abroad. “Such international experiences foster professional and personal development, particularly as far as independence, intercultural and language skills are concerned,” commented Lou Emilia Tassone, Digital Marketing Specialist and Viktoriia’s supervisor.
