USA – The internationally operating company, Geiger from Lewiston, Maine received a global Platinum rating from EcoVadis in January 2026 and according to own accounts is thus among the top 1% of the companies assessed worldwide in terms of its sustainability performance. EcoVadis assesses companies according to the four pillars Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
“This distinction reflects the progress we have made by truly taking a global approach to our business,” said David Geiger, President of Geiger and fifth-generation family member. “A uniform rating allows us to evaluate our practices consistently worldwide and at the same time improve locally. Sustainability is not a one-time goal for us – it is a cross-generation commitment.”

Geiger has thus been awarded a uniform, consolidated Platinum rating across all of its growing global business areas. In 2025, the US and UK companies both each received a Platinum rating, whereas the German activities were rated Silver. With its recent growth in Germany – after acquiring S&P Werbeartikel and UP Werbemittel – this milestone underlines the successful harmonisation of the sustainability practices in the diverse regions.
According to own statements, Geiger is the largest privately owned, family-run promotional products distributor. The Lewiston-based company, which is being run in the fifth generation, has locations in the USA and Europe and works with over 450 independent sales representatives.
