manaomea goodway EG Allianz komplett 200x300 - manaomea celebrates its 10th anniversary

Manaomea has been making sustainable unique items from left-over textiles for ten years – like the Better Pens.

D – The Munich-based company, manaomea, is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2025. manaomea’s vision is to create the so-called manaomea material from textile waste, which is used to make new products. For example, the exceptional Better Pens are hand-crafted from waste textiles in the form of colourful recycled yarns made from self-manufactured organic resin that comprises 95% agricultural residues and natural graphite. In addition, the  company also creates socially fair jobs and improves work life in emerging countries.

To commemorate its tenth anniversary, manaomea is opening the first impact microfactory in mid-2026 in one of the textile waste hotspots of the world in the global south. Here, textile waste will be transformed into a high-quality material reminiscent of tropic timber. The inauguration of a microfactory will enable 50 t of textile waste to be recycled, 1,150 tons in CO2 reductions and up to 15 families fed thanks to fair jobs and a safe income.

manaomea needs 200,000 Euros in capital to launch the microfactory in the global South; sponsors can participate for sums of 5,000 Euros upwards. The company is presently offering individual benefit packages as well as first collection products from the sponsored location.
