The appeal of the new halls for both the exhibitors and visitors is one of the reason cited by RX for the relocation. However, the organiser states that the later venue date in Köln is the main reason, because it allows them to avoid Epiphany on January 6, which is an official public holiday in several German states and in many European countries.
“We are convinced that the long-term security of an attractive date for the trade fair will further strengthen the relevance and reach of the show,” PSI Director, Petra Lassahn, commented. The new venue date at the new location is to further expand the international significance of the PSI. Michael Köhler, Managing Director of RX Deutschland GmbH, explained: “This step is a clear commitment to the further development of the PSI. We look forward to the new opportunities that this move to Cologne will offer all parties involved.”
The coming edition of the PSI Show will take place in Düsseldorf for one last time from January 7-9, 2026.
