F – The French cooking utensils manufacturer, Le Creuset, Fresnoy-le-Grand, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1925 by the Belgian industrial and enamel specialist, Armand Desaegher, and the foundry expert, Octave Aubecq. The enamelled cast iron is still produced at the original foundry at the company’s premises up to this very day and is then subsequently processed by several experienced craftsmen to guarantee the trusted quality. The product design of Le Creuset focuses on beauty, durability and excellent cooking experiences.
The shade oven red is particularly popular among the range of colours of the cooking utensils and it was also the first enamel colour. New shades, decors and reliefs are made possible due to continual research, development and advanced production techniques. The wide range of products, which unites elegance and modernity, encompasses cast iron items, stoneware as well as mills and silicon items. The enamelled cast iron cooking utensils are available in over 60 colours worldwide, the stoneware items in almost 100 colours.
“To commemorate this memorable moment in the history of the brand, we are not only celebrating our heritage – we are also confirming our commitment to many further years of innovation, excellence and culinary inspiration,” the delighted owner and Chairman of Le Creuset, Paul van Zuydam, said about the anniversary.
