CN – The 135th edition of the Canton Fair came to a close at the Pazhou Exhibition Complex in Guangzhou, China on May 5, 2024. According to the official figures, in total 246,000 visitors attended the show – which corresponds to 24.5% more than last year. In terms of exhibitors, around 29,000 companies participated in total, including 680 exhibitors from abroad, which were represented in the International Pavilion.
As usual, China’s biggest import and export show was divided up into three phases: Different main product focuses were set from April 15-19, April 23-27 and May 1-5, whereby the phase in the middle covered also the “Gifts & Premiums” segment. Around 50,000 visitors travelled to the show from Europe, the USA and Canada, which corresponded to a 10.7% increase compared to the last event.
The online platform carried on running parallel to the on-site event and will continue to be operated after the physical show closes its doors. According to the organisers the online portal has attracted 408,000 visitors to-date. Whilst over one million new products were on display in Guangzhou, the exhibitors uploaded 2.54 million products onto the platform.
The autumn edition of the Canton Fair is scheduled to take place in three phases from October 15 to November 4, 2024.
