D – In May 2023, the German calendar manufacturer, terminic, was certified in accordance with the ProzessStandard Offsetprinting standard (PSO/ISO 12647) for its 100 raster cardboard printing for the eighth time in a row and thus without interruption since 2009. The PSO certificate confirms that terminic boasts a high standard of quality as well as process safety and output consistency in the day-to-day work. According to own accounts, 14 years ago terminic was the first pure calendar producer to obtain the PSO certification.
“I am delighted that our PSO team has once again demonstrated that our focus lies on a consistent print image and a high standard of quality. On the one hand, the certification allows us to demonstrate our printing quality to our customers and secondly for us the audits are an important part of our own quality control process,” the Managing Director of terminic, Huschke Rolla du Rosey, stated.
In line with the PSO requirements, Udo Eickelpasch from the Printing and Media Consulting Association checked the modules qualified colour management, proof creation process, the plate production and set-up of the printing orders/continuous printing. Subsequently, the printing research company Fogra also confirmed the evaluation results. terminic has been working together with an in-house PSO team since 2009, which comprises of experts from the printing and pre-press areas. The PSO team is responsible for the quality management for the 100 raster printing on GC1 cardboard and pursues a continual optimising process, which is checked by the additional “PSO active” module four times a year alongside the PSO certification process that takes place every two years.
