In terms of the newcomers, the offer was dominated above all by gourmet products bearing the quality seal “made in Italy”, including fine vinegars, native organic oils as well as cakes and filled chocolates. Beyond this, printing techniques with a 3D effect as well as the embellishment of exceptional materials – from different fabrics, to mirrors and leather, through to car tyres – using digital printing techniques were on display. The visitors were able to experience new techniques live in the PTE Laboratory as well as exchange opinions and experiences. Many of the product ideas presented also had a strong sustainable alignment. The highlights included 100% recyclable pens, umbrellas and rucksacks made from recycled materials as well as items made from particularly environmentally-friendly materials like wood, paper, bamboo, cork, brown algae, coffee grounds or grass paper. According to the organisers, the Fiera Milano, the exhibiting companies and participating distributors were all very satisfied when the show came to a close after three days. The official attendance figures were not available at the time of going to press. The next edition of the PTE – Promotion Trade Exhibition is due to take place in January 2023.
