Kaspar Plattner
A – KP Plattner is mourning Kaspar Plattner. The founder of the company that specialises in smoker’s supplies and promotional products passed away on July 19, 2022.
Plattner founded the Austrian company in 1972 in a small apartment. At the time, the skilled printer contacted a Japanese producer and began importing cigarette lighters and quickly developed into a nationally-operating Austrian supplier of smoker’s accessories. A the end of the 1970s, the company started individually imprinting cigarette lighters. Today, around 40 employees produce approx.
100 million cigarette lighters a year and make an annual turnover of over 20 million Euros. In 2017, Plattner handed over the reins of his lifework to his sons, Markus and Philipp, but continued to support the company in an advisory capacity right up until the end.
