D – This year’s edition of the HSV Merchandising Messe Hamburg (MMHH) was staged on November 23rd and 24th, as usual on the East Stand of the People’s Park Stadium in Hamburg. According to official statements, the entire VIP area with the impressive boxes and a direct view over the pitch was fully booked with over 100 stands of the exhibiting suppliers, who presented their classics and innovations. Furthermore, a small anniversary was celebrated: The MMHH was namely staged for the 20th time.

It has long since established itself as a fixed institution for marketing and merchandising decision-makers. The regular visitors – the organisers of the trade show registered over 1,000 trade visitors – include among others directors from the four German professional football leagues. But also experts from international football clubs and other sports clubs such as handball, basketball or ice hockey for instance attend the show on an annual basis. The spectrum of visitors was rounded off by professionals from companies of the music and entertainment business, promoting companies and last, but not least from the advertising industry. It is thus not surprising that alongside the exhibitors with a football-related programme and diverse suppliers of among others (fan) textiles, various other famous haptic advertising companies also flew their flags.

The FanCommerce Forum celebrated its premiere parallel to the MMHH, also on the East Stand of the stadium. The St. Gallen-based Swiss organisers, ESB Marketing Netzwerk AG, offered the participants lectures, interesting facts and discussions in the scope of diverse forums on merchandising, licensing and eCommerce.
