A – After two pandemic-related editions in September, the markeding Vienna finally returned to its traditional spring venue date again. The organiser Martin Zettl and the six sponsoring agencies Forum Werbemittel, kw open, Mitraco, Nowak Werbeartikel, Pro Concept and Wertpräsent invited guests to attend the 12th edition of Austria’s largest trade show for haptic advertising at the imperial premises of the Hofburg Palace on April 7, 2022. The event had been meticulously planned, not only to ensure its smooth running, but also to guarantee the safety of all involved.

120 exhibitors from twelve nations presented a diversified range of products in the impressive ambiance of the former emperor’s residence, as always enhanced by selected suppliers from the visual communications, promotional furniture, outdoor advertising, digital signage and event sections. In addition to well-known brand manufacturers such as Lamy, Rituals, Reisenthel, Vossen or Victorinox, the first-time exhibitors also included brands and promotional products specialists like Baladeo, Mepal, WIL, Makito, Blooms out of the Box or Karl Knauer.

The interest in live communications is evidently still unabated among the Austrian companies: According to the official figures, 1,512 visitors from the promoting industry (2021: 1,297) were registered at the show via the digital trade show enquiry and registration tool, dMAS. Marketing decision-makers and buyers from Vienna, but also from other Austrian regions, in some cases also from neighbouring foreign countries, took advantage of the opportunity to inform themselves about novelties and trends in Vienna and contributed towards the warm and relaxed atmosphere that prevailed throughout the day at the event. Many of the exhibitors praised the good quality of the discussions and enquiries as well as the careful and professional organisation of the show.

“The markeding Vienna has once again impressively demonstrated that trade shows can be successfully conducted even during times of COVID-19 without any major restrictions and that live communications and face-to-face networking are gratefully appreciated by our target group, the industry,” Zettl summed up. “A key success element in Vienna is without doubt, the homogenous, well-rehearsed co-organiser and sponsor structure. Here everyone pulls together and pursues a joint goal. And staged at the Hofburg, we not only have the most beautiful event location in Vienna, we can also rely on an excellent partner that has excelled by providing the highest service quality for many years. We are delighted at the thoroughly positive outcome of the event.” The next edition of markeding Vienna is scheduled to take place at the Hofburg Imperial Palace on April 18, 2023. Previous to that, the markeding will be stopping off at Wels, in Upper Austria on September 29, 2022.
