There won’t be full exhibition halls at the Expo 4.0 – as here in 2020 – until the new venue date in March 2023.
D – The combined trade show Expo 4.0 – comprising of the three trade fairs GiveADays, TecStyle Visions and wetec – is not taking place in Stuttgart from March 31 until April 2, 2022 as originally planned. In the face of the ongoing rising infection rates and the insecurity this implies, the Government in Baden-Württemberg has explicitly banned trade fairs in February. The Stuttgart Exhibition Centre carried out a survey among the exhibiting companies of the trade show to determine the optimal approach. In the scope of the poll, over three quarters of all participants opted for the new date from March 30 to April 1, 2023.
“The outcome of the exhibitor survey served as the basis for our joint decision on setting the new venue date in March 2023. This also means the two-year cycle of the trade show will now take place in the odd years,” explained Sebastian Schmid, member of the Executive Board at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. In a survey the majority of the participating companies were in favour of the cycle change to odd years. Nicole Dalkolmo, Trade Show and Event Manager at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre added, “The visitors normally view the offer as being complete and the synergy effects between the three exhibition areas is what lends the event its particular flair. A vibrant community, like that of the three trade fairs within the combined show of the Expo 4.0, would suffer badly if many market leaders and specialised companies didn’t participate.”
According to the organisers, the Expo 4.0 sees itself as the leading platform for visual communications and haptic advertising. It offers product novelties and innovations from the sectors textile embellishing, advertising technology and promotion. The diversified supporting programme includes special events, competitions, fashion shows and expert forums.
