wa neue volos22 - Double reinforcement for WA Media

Chief Editor and Head of Management, Dr. Mischa Delbrouck with Saskia Karbowiak (l) and Helen Lorenz (r).

D – The media service provider and event organiser, WA Media, has welcomed two new interns to its team: Since April 1, 2022 Saskia Karbowiak has been supporting the editorial team of the trade publishing company. The 24-year-old with a Bachelor’s degree in German and Sociology worked as a freelance journalist at the Rheinische Post Media Group during her studies.

Helen Lorenz already joined the editorial team on January 17, 2022. The 25-year-old has a Master’s degree in German and carried out editorial tasks at the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques FHR in Wachtberg while studying. In their capacity as interns at WA Media, both will gain insights into all areas of the editorial office.

“Particularly in times of a lack in skilled workers, the internal training of junior staff is extremely important,” confirmed Chief Editor and Head of Management, Dr. Mischa Delbrouck. “This has always been tradition at WA Media: Over half of today’s editorial team either completed an internship at our company or worked here while they were studying. The situation is similar in the other departments. We look forward to helping the two motivated and aspiring young journalists, Saskia Karbowiak and Helen Lorenz, become acquainted with the field of haptic advertising and inspiring them for the work alongside our team.”
