At the event, the audience was able to inform itself about the latest trends and tools in the field of digital marketing. The theme AI was omnipresent and many suppliers have integrated self-learning models into their applications, i.e. in order to align automated processes more readily with individual customer profiles. Extended Reality (XR), which allows digital and physical space to be connected using smartphones or VR goggles, is also booming. Overlays for car models to find the right shade, virtual fitting rooms, print products brought to life or the digital shopping assistant at the POS – the clear border between the physical and digital world is becoming fuzzier and fuzzier, as the exhibitors of this year’s dmexco clearly demonstrated. The technological developments and their significance for the business world, but also their influences on everyday life and society were reflected in the wide-ranging event programme comprising of lectures, panel discussions and workshops. Over 800 international speakers, among others from famous companies like Google, Procter & Gamble, Nestlé or Axel Springer, but also for instance the German rap artist, Rapper Eko Fresh, shared their opinions about business and digitalisation.

Dirk Freytag, Chairman of the German Association of the Digital Economy (BVDW) owning the brand, dmexco, is convinced: “We’re approaching a new era and dmexco will continue to be a place for shaping the future.”
