UK – According to own accounts, Fluid Branding, one of the largest promotional products distributors in Great Britain and Europe, is striving to assert itself for a good cause. Along these lines, Fluid is offering its employees two paid volunteer days per year for charity purposes.

Fluid also invited guests to the Cornwall Soccer Aid Safari 2023 at AFC St. Austell in Cornwall on August 28, 2023. Donations to the value of approx. 18,400 Euros were collected at the event, which is to be implemented for development aid in Kenya via the Vanessa Grant Trust. The participants of this year’s Soccer Aid Safari included a wide range of players spanning from junior to senior teams. “It was a huge success! We set out to deliver an inclusive, family event that brought the community together and I’m confident that we achieved exactly that,” Brandon Tregidgo, Talent and Culture Lead at Fluid, stated.

Nicki White, Senior Merchandise Director at Fluid in London, worked as a volunteer at WAM Youth for two days earlier this year in August. WAM stands for “We all matter“. The voluntary organisation that is located in a large forest area near Winchcombe offers a multitude of projects so that children and youths can fully exploit their potential regardless of their respective situation in life. The lessons encompass among others working with axes and knives, building shelters, animal traps and fires, cooking in the open air, life in the wilderness and art in the forest. White commented, “I’m so grateful to Fluid for the opportunity to volunteer. It’s so important to take a step out from your day-to-day life to learn about things you wouldn’t normally think about. What I learnt was that not every child has a safe home life. Not every child is understood or has the support network they need to succeed. Not every child is held and loved. But, thanks to charities like WAM Youth, every child is given an opportunity to find their passion and are supported to succeed with their goals. It was a truly fantastic and heart-warming experience that I’ll remember fondly.”

Rosie Franklin, Merchandise Consultant at Fluid, took advantage of the paid volunteer days to undertake a sponsored climb of Mount Snowdon to collect donations in aid of Heart UK in memory of her deceased father. At 1,085 m, Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales. Franklin’s aim was to reach the summit in less than eight hours and draw attention to the risks caused by having a high cholesterol level. She raised around 2,320 Euros for the good cause.
