The actress, Anne Menden (2.f.t.r.), handing over the Fairtrade Award in the category Industry to Silke Rosebrock and Mathias Diestelmann from Brands Fashion. The evening programme was hosted by Anke Engelke (r).
D – Brands Fashion, a specialist for sustainable corporate workwear and fan merchandise, is this year’s winner of the Fairtrade Award in the category Industry. Mathias Diestelmann, Managing Partner/CEO, and Silke Rosebrock, Managing Director/CCO, accepted the prize on behalf of the company at the festive award ceremony on June 9, 2022, which was held at the EUREF-Campus in Berlin.
Brands Fashion convinced the jury with the, according to company accounts, first supply chain in the world that is certified according to the Fairtrade textile standard. The company has hereby committed itself to pay living wages across the whole value chain over the next six years.
“We are delighted at winning this coveted award,” Diestelmann commented when he and Rosebrock were presented with the distinction by the laudator and actress, Anne Menden. Rosebrock summed up: “We also congratulate all of the other nominees and winners on their fabulous contributions and inspiring projects for fair trade. We can only change things together. And evenings like this show that this is possible and serve at the same time as great motivation for continuing on this path.”
