UK – The Advantage Group, a consortium of distributors in Great Britain organised its 23rd General Meeting at The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield. The meeting was accompanied by a dinner including an award ceremony.
Advantage member Promo Brand took this opportunity to celebrate its 100th anniversary together with around 100 other participants and awarded prizes to the two suppliers, PF Concept and XD Connects, for their digital innovations. The presentation of the Advantage Awards subsequently took place. For the second time in succession, XD Connects won the “Group Supplier of the Year” award. And Mojo Promotions received the prize for the “Group Member of the Year” for the third time in a row. Furthermore, two new prizes were introduced this year: The award for the “Account Manager of the Year” went to Alex Daniels from midocean, Laltex Promo was voted “Customer Service Team of the Year”. Beeline Promotional Products was elected as the winner in the category “Best Usage of the Advantage Website”. During the General Meeting, Vibrant Colour also received a distinction as “Catalogue Cover of the Year” for its Masters of Merch concept. Presentations by Senator Pens and the BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association) were additionally held during the events.
Advantage Director, Lawrence Angelow, stated “I feel for the first time since the pandemic that we are truly getting back to some sense of normality and that the appetite for networking has returned, which has to be good news for the industry overall. Although we no doubt face a challenging year ahead, I hope this confidence and positivity can remain strong.”
