NL – The Roelofarendsveen-based importer, PF Concept, has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum medal for the fourth consecutive time.
According to company sources, the further improvement in its sustainability rating score is primarily due to significant progress in the areas of the environment and sustainable procurement. This award holds special significance for PF Concept, as the corporate assessment encompasses its locations in the Netherlands, Poland, and the UK, thereby reflecting the collective efforts of all employees.
PF Concept has taken significant steps over the past twelve months to further embed sustainability into the company. These included having its targets validated under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and reviewing its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions. Additionally, the company introduced a supplier sustainability scorecard, enabling greater insight, stronger engagement and a structured approach to driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. PF Concept’s “Impact Index”, which is designed to provide customers with transparent insights that facilitate better product choices, was also shortlisted for the “Sustainability Initiative of the Year” award at the UN Global Compact’s Leaders of Progress Summit. The company views this as recognition of its efforts to offer its customers transparency, which in turn leads to better product decisions.
The company’s plans for the coming year include pushing decarbonisation forward, strengthening supplier collaboration, preparing for the evolving sustainability legislation and expanding the capabilities of its Digital Product Passport.
