sourcing city rectangle - Sourcing City: British market has expandedUK – The British industry service provider, Sourcing City, UK-Farnborough, has published its annual revenue report for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Sourcing City Market Report estimates that the revenue of the British and Irish haptic advertising market totalled £1.334 billion (approx. €1.56 billion) in 2025, compared to £1.232 billion (approx. €1.44 billion) in 2024. This represents a growth of 8.3 percent and, according to Sourcing City, means the market achieved the highest amount of revenue ever in the 19 years the data has been collected. Nevertheless, a significant portion of the revenue increase reflects the price inflation in products, freight and operating costs and is not attributable to additional business.

However, there is no sign of a decline as seen in much of Europe. The number of enquiries on the Sourcing City portal increased by 8.2% compared to the previous year, indicating genuine demand behind the inflation and not simply the same volume of business at higher costs.

The study published at the same time by the American industry service provider, ASI, estimates the market volume for the UK at US$ 2.26 billion (approximately €1.95 billion) for the same period. The British company explains the difference by stating that the Sourcing City study does not include printers, textile specialists, direct sales from suppliers, promotional agencies or incentive and motivation programmes. Sourcing City emphasises, however, that the overall trend is the same in both studies.

“If you take out increased prices, the UK market still probably showed small growth,” said Jason Grenham, Head of Sales at Sourcing City. Overall, a difficult year ended quite well for the British trade, especially given the backdrop of a European market that remained stagnant throughout the year.
