PSI 2027 Vis fe - PSI 2027: Welcome to Cologne

D – Düsseldorf was the home of the PSI for many years. Now, the leading trade show for the European promotional products industry is set to continue its history in Cologne as of 2027. Organised by RX Deutschland, the PSI will take place at the Cologne Exhibition Centre in Halls 7 and 8 for the first time from January 12 to 14, 2027.

“Together with Koelnmesse, we are creating the conditions to further strengthen the trade show’s international alignment and provide the industry with a powerful platform long term. We look forward to the collaboration and to continuing the PSI’s success story in Cologne,” said Michael Köhler, Managing Director of RX Deutschland GmbH, welcoming the move. The change of venue is a logical step designed to strengthen, rather than alter, the PSI’s role. “PSI is the leading trade show for the European promotional products industry and the home of haptic advertising.

The change of location alters nothing in this respect. In Cologne, we are gaining a location that is ideally suited to this role: It offers an excellent transport infrastructure including an ICE long-distance train station that stops directly at the exhibition grounds, close links to intercontinental connections via Frankfurt Airport, easy accessibility via the airports of Cologne and Düsseldorf as well as a strong local media and creative landscape. These are ideal conditions for bringing together our community from all over Europe and beyond,” commented Petra Lassahn, Director of PSI.

Furthermore, from 2027 onwards, the PSI will be scheduled on dates that avoid the Christmas holidays and the public holidays at the start of the year. This makes planning significantly easier for both the exhibitors and the trade visitors.

A meeting place for decision-makers

The PSI will continue to maintain a clear profile at the new location: The trade show is the meeting point for decision-makers from the world of promotional products, incentives and merchandising. The “Textile Village” focuses on textile promotional products, ranging from promotion wear to sustainable collections. Customising formats will be showcased as the “workbench of the promotional products industry,” featuring solutions for printing, engraving, personalisation and on-demand services. The theme of megatrends and their significance for the promotional products sector will serve as a common thread that runs through the 2027 trade show. “We are delighted to welcome Boris Planer as our opening speaker. An internationally renowned retail and trend expert, who has been analysing developments in retail and consumer goods markets for over 25 years. He will use his keynote to highlight the societal, technological and economic trends that will significantly influence the industry in the coming years,” said Petra Lassahn.

In line with this, the Trend Showcase will focus on three key themes – the megatrends identified by the Zukunftsinstitut (Future Institute) in Frankfurt/Vienna: Health Shift, Safe Future and Urban Outdoor. For promotional product distributors and agencies, it serves as a compact trend radar to guide decisions regarding product ranges and campaigns.

The Boulevard that connects Halls 7 and 8 will become the event’s thematic hub. The PSI 2027 programme will be additionally expanded to include a new multimedia content format, featuring discussions with experts, as well as brand and industry specialists, covering pivotal future topics ranging from haptic advertising and sustainable supply chains, to the interplay between analogue and digital customer experiences.

PSI 2027 is expected to attract over 600 exhibitors and more than 10,000 trade visitors from over 60 countries. Party at the “Wartesaal”

The PSI Night on January 12, 2027, at the “Wartesaal am Dom” is one of the highlights of the supporting programme.” This long-established networking event is moving to Cologne together with the trade show and will be a meeting point for exhibitors, trade visitors and partners from across Europe. The PSI Night aims to quickly turn leads into topics of conversation – and much more. Overlooking Cologne Cathedral, the promotional products industry community will gather here to network, forge new partnerships and wind down after the first day of the trade fair.
