D – elasto officially opened its new injection moulding and tool-making production hall at the head office in Sulzbach-Rosenberg in Southern Germany on July 2, 2025. The new building that cost four million Euros allows the company to house all the production areas and the administration in one central location for the first time.
“The new hall is a targeted move to strengthen our production capacities in Germany and create the basis for even more efficient, high-quality and resource-saving manufacturing,” explained Marcus Sperber, CEO of elasto. He added that at the same time, this secures regional jobs and optimises the entire value chain.
The relocation of the entire tool-making unit to Sulzbach-Rosenberg from its former location in Hohenstadt is a key element of the expansion. This allows elasto to bundle the development, production and customising departments under one roof. The new hall is equipped with over 50 cutting-edge injection moulding machines, 95% of which are automated. Smart processes, centralised material handling and state-of-the-art robot technology ensure high efficiency and production output.
elasto is also setting an example when it comes down to sustainability: Around 900 solar modules were installed on the roofs, which save over 166,000 kg of CO₂ a year. elasto now generates over 1.5 million kw of energy a year via its photovoltaic system.
