B – The Cotton Group from Waterloo, Belgium, owner of the brand B&C for imprinted clothing, has been B Corp-certified since March 2025, as the company recently announced with pride. They added that the certification rewards the brand’s efforts to drive sustainability, ethical production and transparency for promotion wear forward.
Gaining the B Corp certification, means The Cotton Group now belongs to an international community of companies that have committed themselves to high standards regarding their social and ecological impact, transparency and responsibility. It was noted that the distinction reflects the company’s commitment towards responsible procurement, ethical production and the reduction of the impact on the environment, while at the same time still guaranteeing fair working conditions.
In the scope of the certification, the Belgian textile specialists were subject to a strict assessment in five key areas: Corporate management, employees, customers, environment and community. In order to attain the B Corp certification, companies have to achieve at least 80 points from a possible 200 points; The Cotton Group scored 99 points. B Corp companies have to undergo the certification process every three years to retain their status.
The Cotton Group considers sustainability to be the core element of the brand B&C – from the usage of sustainable, recycled materials, through to reducing the amount of waste down to a minimum and the observance of high social standards. According to own accounts, the company is proud to be part of a movement that is actively committed to contributing towards systematic change.
