D/USA – A new podcast called Branded Wor(l)ds – A Transatlantic Dialogue is going online as of June 2025. The podcast will appear monthly thereafter. The hosts of the format are the US American industry expert, Jeff Solomon and Steven Baumgaertner, CEO of the German Cybergroup.

Every episode aims to offer an open, informative and sometimes also provocative view of how branding, merchandise and culture overlap with the challenges of sustainability. From recyclable product design, through to transatlantic, cultural differences, Branded Wor(l)ds offers inspiration, examples of best practice and in-depth discussions with leading industry representatives.

“The idea for the podcast arose in the course of an interview with Jeff Solomon on Earth Day, which we recorded together,” commented Baumgaertner. “After the interview, I came up with the idea of developing it into a transatlantic podcast with themes and guests that span the bridge between the markets.”

In the first episode, which is expected to be broadcast on June 1, their guest will be Drew Holmgreen, CEO of the American industry association, PPAI (Promotional Products Association International). Baumgaertner stated: “Further exciting guests have already confirmed their participation – whereby we will always make sure there is a balanced combination between US and EU perspectives and a clear transatlantic context.”

Branded Wor(l)ds will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all common platforms.
