Happy organisers: Martin and Katharina Zettl
A – After the markeding Vienna already notched up a remarkable attendance record in 2024, Austria’s largest and most important trade show for haptic advertising and visual communications was able to significantly top its attendance figure again this year: 2,626 check-ins were registered at the 15th edition of the show, which traditionally took place at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna on April 11. The amount of visitors recorded was very high for a one-day event – even in the European comparison. Obviously the extensive visitor marketing measures that the organisers, Martin and Katharina Zettl, as well as the co-organisers and sponsoring agencies Forum Werbemittel, kw open, Mitraco, Nowak Werbeartikel, Pro Concept and Wertpräsent had carried out in advance, paid off.
Consequently, the 142 exhibitors that showcased their products and services in the historical salons of the Hofburg Palace, were hardly able to cope with the flow of visitors, especially in the morning. “I have never experienced such crowds even here before,” stated Manfred Janek, ecobrands. Oliver Leykam, Staedtler, added: “It was totally packed directly at 9 o’clock,” and Günter Schmidt, Fare, reported: “We had already generated just under 100 leads by midday.”
But it wouldn’t be fair to reduce the markeding purely down to the figures – the platform that has been established in Vienna and Upper Austria for over one and a half decades also lives from its flair, atmosphere and product diversity. The organisation of the event also received plenty of praise.
Hence, all of the participants were extremely satisfied at the end of the day. “We are delighted with this result. The enthusiasm, the diversity and the personal exchange have shown how vibrant and future-proof our industry is,” commented Martin and Katharina Zettl. “This success wouldn’t have been possible without the strong commitment of our six sponsors. The cooperation at eye level is the foundation for the special quality of the markeding.”
Indeed, the sponsoring agencies not only cooperated well together – which is by no way matter of course – they also personally carried out intensive marketing measures. 872 visitors alone attended the event upon invitation of the Viennese promotional products agency, Mitraco, which surprised its customers with a Lomo photo wall and additionally raffled off ten Lomo instant cameras. The energy at the Hofburg Palace was truly tangible. For us as one of the sponsoring agencies, this is the best confirmation: to see how ideas arise, networks grow and brands come alive,” Managing Director, Wolfgang Bosch, said happily. “In spite of the current challenging economic framework conditions, the interest in brand profiling was higher than ever before.”
