The Dutch company senz is well-known for its storm-proof umbrellas.
NL – As of April 2025, Senz, Etten-Leur, is officially B Corp-certified and thus belongs to a group of 9,500 international companies, which under the aegis of the certificate assert themselves for a more integrative, fair and sustainable economy. The distinction underlines the Dutch umbrella specialist’s commitment for ethical business practices and sustainability.
“At senz, we believe that combining design with sustainability is not only possible, but essential for a better future. This certification confirms our vision and motivates us to continue creating products that are both functional and environmentally friendly,” said Ingrid Verschueren-Willemen, CEO of senz.
The B Corp certification is conferred by B Lab, a non-profit making organisation that assesses companies based on their performance in five key areas. These include governance, employees, customers, the environment and community. Senz achieved 88,3 out of the possible 200 points. In order to retain the certification, every three years companies have to prove that they are observing the ever-increasingly higher standards.
“Senz is proud to become a B Corp, which marks an important milestone in our journey. This recognition encourages us to keep innovating, always with sustainability and responsibility at the core of everything we do,” said Verschueren-Willemen.
