The old and new managing directors of the organiser, Promo Event, welcomed the guests to the advertising trade fair in Munich: Michael Hagemann and Sebastian Pfaffenzeller (f.t.l.).

D – Glorious sunshine welcomed the guests in front of the MOC Event Center, where the Werbemittelmesse Munich (wmm) opened its doors on January 30, 2025. Whereas black ice brought the streets and the airports around the Bavarian capital to a standstill last year, the weather didn’t present an obstacle at all this year. The sponsors of the advent admixx, BDA Deutschland, Company 4 Marketing Services, Holfelder, the advertising agency Hagemann and the 107 exhibitors were correspondingly in high spirits.

According to the official accounts of the organisers, Promo Event, the 821 visitors, who attended the event had submitted almost 13,000 enquiries by the day after the show. Gertrud Hagemann, Managing Director of the Hagemann advertising agency also noticed the good mood: “The visitors came to the show in high spirits and were open to new ideas.” The theme summer with many beach items and the bright colours that were on display everywhere at the show, obviously helped as well.

Organisers, sponsoring agencies and suppliers were delighted with the large number of visitors this year.

The visitors of the wmm were able to gain an overview of the novelties and trends in the diversified world of promotional products, gather advice on the implementation of the products in the marketing or employer branding sections and inform themselves about various customising techniques. One again, the top hits of the suppliers were exhibited in the Highlight & Bestseller Area. The newly introduced Show Cinema, on the other hand, was a new format, where clips on manufacturing and customising technologies were shown.

Peter Holfelder, Managing Director of Holfelder, was optimistic about the outcome of the event: “The customers were in a positive mood and we are expecting a good year with many projects.” Kürsad Bostan, Managing Director at admixx, also emphasised the “good quality of the discussions” and the event made an “excellent impression” on Ziyad Hayat, Managing Director at Hagemann. Hayat registered an increased demand for German manufacturers and brand products. Jens Averwerser from the exhibitor Mepal confirmed this: “We were busy non-stop at the stand. The people are more interested in brands and we profit from this.”

The organisers, Promo Event, made an official announcement during the wmm: Its long-standing employee, Sebastian Pfaffenzeller, will be replacing Michael Hagemann as managing partner of the company. Pfaffenzeller aims to lead the trusted concept successfully into the future.

The next edition of Werbemittelmesse Munich will be staged on January 15, 2026.
