WerbeWiesn 0924 30 - WerbeWiesn 2024: Blue and white marquee

The traditional barrel tapping ceremony was carried out by Thomas Gottschall (l.), in the presence of the representatives of all nine sponsoring agencies.

D – The 18th edition of the WerbeWiesn took place in the Zenith Culture Hall on September 2024, around two weeks before the Oktoberfest begins in Munich. The nine sponsors – admixx, AmedeA, BDA Deutschland, dkpromotion, Eidex, Hagemann, kicks-promotion, products & more and w+i – had invited so many visitors that there was a queue at the entrance as soon as the doors opened. As usual, the hall was decorated attractively in the state colours of Bavaria: blue and white. Furthermore, the exhibitors were obliged to wear traditional Bavarian costumes. Several visitors also followed the well-known dress code.

The trade fair was well-attended from the very start. Hence, many of the according to the organisers 856 visitors (2023: 836 visitors) bustled around the exhibition stands of the 126 exhibitors from early morning onwards. “As usual our stand is located directly next to the entrance and it is going very well. We have more or less been engaged in dialogue non-stop since half past eight,” Maike Bott from Prodir reported.

Overall, the exhibitors presented a colourful collection of novelties, trusted classics and autumn/Christmas products so it was possible to find the right promotional product for every taste and budget. The “Christmas Area” – a special zone for Christmassy themes – was located in the central section of the hall, which was indicated by a red carpet and an almost four-metre high, seasonally decorated tree. Anyone, who was especially on the look-out for small tokens of appreciation or employee gifts for the Christmas period, had come to the right address here.

The traditional barrel tapping ceremony that was personally carried out by the CEO of Eidex, Thomas Gottschall, was a further highlight. After opening the barrel in a record-setting number of just two strikes, not only did the beer start flowing, the buffet also opened. The catering was also based on the Oktoberfest theme.

Paolo Cucu, Key Account Manager at the organisers, Eidex, came to a positive conclusion: “We are super satisfied. Visitors kept on coming all afternoon, the show is a total success again.” So it goes without saying that a venue date has already been set for next year: In 2025, the WerbeWiesn will be staged on September 18. //Sophia Arnold
