CN – This year’s edition of the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair was staged from April 27-30, 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The trade show that is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is considered to be one of the most important fairs in the Far East for the international promotional products industry and was held parallel to the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, the first edition of the DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong and the one-day shorter Hong Kong International Licensing Show.

According to the official figures, together the four trade shows attracted more than 60,000 visitors from 128 countries, whereby most of the guests originated from mainland China, Taiwan, the USA, Japan and Korea. In total, the four events boasted approximately 4,800 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions.

According to the organisers, the Gifts & Premium Fair was attended by around 35,000 people, who gladly took this opportunity to engage in a dialogue with exhibitors from China, but also from many other manufacturing countries. Once again local and international brands were on display in the Hall of Fine Designs, whilst the Hong Kong Exporters Association exhibited the award winners of the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards in a separate pavilion.

The Printing & Packaging Fair, which many promotional products players additionally visited, placed a strong focus on environmentally-friendly packaging solutions this year – a new ban on disposable plastic recently came into force in Hong Kong on April 22. The four trade fairs were accompanied by an extensive, joint supporting programme that comprised of seminars, buyer forums and product shows.

Sophia Chong, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, accentuated the importance of Hong Kong as a global sourcing hub. She stated that the April fairs brought industry professionals from traditional markets like Europe and the USA together with players from aspiring markets such as China, the ASEAN region or the Middle East.

As usual, the Hong Kong shows were flanked by numerous networking events. Alliances from the international promotional products industry, including Ippag (International Partnership for Premiums and Gifts), made use of the chance to meet up with partners from all over the globe.
