UK – This year’s edition of the Printwear & Promotion Live! took place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) at Birmingham International Airport from February 25-27, 2024. For the first time this year, the show was co-staged with the Sign & Digital UK (SDUK), a trade fair for visual communications, signage and displays. According to Datateam Business Media, which organised both shows for the first time, more than 80% of the visitors of the SDUK took the time within the three-day event to also visit the Printwear & Promotion Live!
According to the official figures, co-staging the two events led to a record number of 7,223 visitors at the Printwear & Promotion Live! This corresponds to an increase of 2,247 visitors compared to 2023 (4,976). Furthermore, 352 guests attended the show on several days, which resulted in a total result of 7,575 visitors (2023: 5,167).
Event director, Tony Gardner, commented: “SDUK had struggled to recover since COVID-19, so we knew that this year’s exhibition, the 35th, but the first under Datateam’s ownership, was the start of the rebuild. The show undoubtedly needed re-energising and the new format made it feel like a re-launch. The success of the co-location has given us a real solid foundation to build upon for SDUK 2025, and in re-establishing the show as a central part of the calendar and an economic stimulus for the industry!” He also reported that many business deals had already been concluded on-site at the stands and that more than half of this year’s exhibitors had already booked stands for 2025 during the show.
Both the Printwear & Promotion Live! as well as the Sign & Digital UK will be staged in 2025 at the NEC again. Next year the events are scheduled to take place from February 23-25.
