D/USA – As part of the expansion of its international distributor network, uma participated in the Summit Conference of the American company, American Solutions for Business (ASB) in August 2023. ASB invited its trading partners, who achieved an annual turnover of more than 1 million US dollars (around 0.94 million Euros) in 2022, to the Olympic Village of the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California for four days from August 14-17, 2023. According to uma, around 90 distributors accepted the invitation to examine the products of the exhibiting suppliers in the premises of a hotel. For the German writing instrument specialist, uma, the priority lay on making new contacts.
uma stated that the company’s participation at the Summit Conference allowed the new, strategic partnership with the ASB Group that was initiated at the PSI Show in 2023 to be further professionalised and the aim is to expand the partnership even more over the coming years. “The American promotional products market is exciting for us and at the same time a very pleasant challenge. Personal business practices, the projects and the developments cannot be compared to those of the German or European markets. However, the fact that one strives to enter long-standing partnerships with experts has a uniting effect,” summed up Jens Schott from uma’s sales team.
American Solutions for Business was founded in 1981 and has developed into a leading sales company for print materials, promotional products, office supplies, eCommerce and marketing solutions. More than 1,100 people work in the sales and service departments of the company in 48 states of America.
