UK – Promotional products professionals in England were able to look forward to two co-staged events in the autumn of 2023: Both The Big New Products Trade Show and The Big Wearables Trade Show were held in London and in Manchester. The roadshow’s first stop was at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre London Heathrow on September 21, followed by a joint appearance at the event location, The Point, at the test match stadium, the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, in Manchester on September 27. According to the official figures, more than 70 promotional products suppliers from the United Kingdom, Ireland and further European countries presented their novelties and smart accessories, such as Smartwatches and fitness bracelets, for example. Gerry Thomas, organiser of the event series, was very pleased with the outcome: “We have had a fantastic two days at these venues and have provided the distributors with great ideas for putting products into the hands of their customers.”

Several awards were presented during the event series: Ashford Blake and Donna Powell from Beechfield Brands were delighted to pick up a prize for the best wearables stand; an award for the most innovative autumn product in the wearables segment went to Ian Hewlett and Ian Wilson of United Brands of Scandinavia for their sustainable Cottover collection. Max Rutland from CHX Products walked off with an award for the best promo stand. The award for the most innovative promotional autumn product went to Sam Brooks-Birkett and Mark Zurek from Castelli (Diaries) Ltd for the Ortisei notebook of the Appeel collection. Last, but not least Ian Barham from BIC Graphic Europe won the trophy for the best stand.

The roadshow carries on to London, Manchester, Leeds, Dublin and Glasgow in 2024, where it will be jointly staged with the sister event, The Green and New Promo Show.
