D – Rastal is in a state of shock after the sudden death of Raymond Sahm. The owner and long-standing managing partner of the drinking vessel manufacturer and specialist for glass designs and customising passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2023 at the age of 66. The company announced that the entire Rastal team is deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Raymond Sahm.
After joining the management in 1992, Raymond Sahm lived out his passion for the world of glasses and developed Rastal into one of the world’s leading companies for the embellishment of drinking glasses in the beverage industry. As the inventor of the exclusive glass concept, under his aegis striking glass designs have been created for global brands in the beverage industry through to this very day. Raymond Sahm successfully built up new business areas and entered into innovative partnerships. According to company accounts, as a visionary pioneer he recognised industry trends at an early stage and always knew how to inspire and unite people. His open-minded nature not only influenced the company, but also the people, who worked together with him.
Rastal stated that in spite of the sad loss of Raymond Sahm, Rastal’s business activities will be consistently pursued as hitherto. His legacy will be honoured and carried on by the entire workforce. Maximilian Sahm, the son of the deceased has already been closely involved in the management of the company for many years and he will follow in his father’s footsteps on the path into the fourth generation. “We are determined to carry on the legacy of my father and continue his life’s work. Our aim is to further develop his innovative spirit and let this inspire every aspect of our undertakings. We will preserve his vision and also make sure that his influence lives on in the beverage industry,” stated Maximilian Sahm.
