PL/USA – The American promotional products service provider, ASI (Advertising Specialty Institute), voted John Lynch, founder and Chairman of the Polish textile customising specialists Lynka, as “International Person of the Year” in the scope of this year’s Counselor Awards. Lynch was presented with the distinction on July 20, 2022 at the award ceremony, which was held at the 23rd ASI Chicago Trade Show in the McCormick Place Convention Center.

“Two years of COVID taught us many lessons – foremost among them is the certainty that we can triumph over anything,” Timothy M. Andrews, Chairman and CEO of the ASI commented at the award ceremony, which was staged live for the first time again in 2022 after two virtual editions in both of the previous years.

Lynka was founded in 1992 near Krakow and serves customers in 32 countries today. In 2021, the specialist for promotional and corporate clothing merged with the US-American company Vantage Apparel and launched a print-on-demand business. Last year, Lynch published a thriller entitled the ark about the fashion and finance business, which is at the top of the Polish bestseller list. In 2022, the businessman founded the relief organisation Corporate Aid for the Ukraine (CAU), which collects donations from US companies and organises the accommodation of Ukrainian refugees in emergency shelters and private households. In addition to this, Lynka has employed over 75 Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the war.
