GT – The international distributor alliance, Ippag (International Partnership for Premiums and Gifts), organised its annual Manager Meeting in Antigua, Guatemala from October 17-20, 2023. Following tradition, one of the member companies hosts the annual meeting in their country – this year it was the turn of the Guatemalan member Gimmick. The event was organised by the CEOs, Byron and Carmen Chavarria, supported by the board members Robert Fiveash (Brand Fuel, USA), Olaf Dabrowski (Goldenberry, Poland) and Andre Noordwijk (BeGlobal, the Netherlands). Under the motto “Ippag Changemakers”, solutions for implementing change for one’s self, for the company, for the community and for the industry were sought. As such, four days full of events revolving around the theme and lectures by local and international “changemakers” awaited the change-friendly participants.

Colourful flair and a relaxed atmosphere: The Ippag members met up in the picturesque natural setting of Antigua in Guatemala for the concluding event of the year.

The Gimmick CEO, Byron Chavarria, warmly welcomed the guests to the concluding event of the year and was visibly impressed by the valuable insights and experiences gained over their joint time together in Guatemala: “Our dedicated team and esteemed board members have worked hard curating an exceptional programme filled with exciting content and engaging activities, all designed to foster collaboration and facilitate learning.” The first and third day of the meeting focused on the Ippag rebranding, which is to be officially presented in December, including accompanying workshops. On the second day the theme “Changemakers” was outlined in detail by the guest lecturers Philip Wilson (EcoFiltro, Guatemala) and Craig Dunlap (Delegate CX, USA/Philippines).

Lectures and workshops on the Ippag rebranding and the appropriately chosen motto „Changemakers“ awaited the attendees.

At the end of the meeting the General Manager, Florence Mosnier, praised the event: “Having hosted many Ippag meetings in locations all over the world, I am sincerely moved to still find something uniquely special about each occasion to bring the group together. And Guatemala just raised the bar. All the ideas that have been brewing for the last few years are finally taking shape: internally and externally. Working on our rebranding project has perhaps been the most profound of journeys so far, and I am really excited at now being able to invite our members to join in too, and to share this within the industry at large very soon.”

As customary for Ippag meetings, an extensive supporting programme accompanied the meeting: The participants had plenty of opportunity to engage in a friendly exchange during the traditional gala dinner, on an excursion to a volcano and during a hike.
