E – The GXN Conference will be taking place for the second time in Barcelona from September 27 to 29, 2023. GXN (Global Executive Network) is an international alliance of executives from the promotional products industry launched under the aegis of Michael Freter. This year’s congress, which will once again bring together decision-makers from the promotional products industry – including both suppliers and distributors – is being staged under the motto “Innovation and Transformation”. Among others current market data will be presented that intends to facilitate taking future strategic decisions.

“Whilst sales have stabilised after the pandemic, the promotional products industry has now reached a critical point. The industry is confronted with increased regulations, consolidation, and lacking attractiveness for younger talents,” is how the Secretary General of GXN, Michael Freter, described the current industry landscape. “However, haptic marketing like promotional industry products creates a memorable experience for consumers that has a long-lasting effect and strengthens customer loyalty. Barcelona will be the starting point for addressing industry challenges and defining actions that will bring the industry forward.” Freter is expecting over 60 participants from Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Asia. Marc Rugi, CEO of BIC Graphics Europe & MEA: “This is the first time that so many important leaders will come together in one place to network and discuss the future of the industry.” Ralf Oster, CEO of PF Concept, added: “I am convinced that this will become an exciting and highly relevant event for the promotional products industry.”

This year’s conference will be accompanied by three lectures. Steven van Bellegham, an international speaker and author, will talk about the transformation of companies into customer-oriented organisations that have to assert themselves in a world that no longer allows for long-term planning. The lecture of the speaker and author, Fran Chuan, bears the provocative title “The promotional products industry claims to be innovative. Is it really?” Furthermore, he will be presenting a survey on innovation culture within the promotional products industry for the first time. Finally, the trend and marketing expert, Thierry Zouzou, will share his knowledge derived from over 20 years of experience in the area of predicting global trends with the participants.
