CZ – The printing service provider, Graspo, has invested in a digital printing machine and has installed the HP PageWide T250 HD digital printing system at the company’s premises in Zlin, the Czech Republic. Thanks to the new technology, Graspo is able to expand its range of products, accelerate production and cater to trends more readily, i.e. in the customising area.
According to own accounts, Graspo is one of the leading European suppliers of high-quality, full-colour printing methods, print preparation including creative graphic design as well as downstream bookbinding processing. With this investment the company that previously purely operated as an offset printing shop, is reacting to the increased demand for small order volumes and individually imprinted materials.
Since the installation of the HP PageWide T250, the printing service provider has not only implemented the new digital printing system for standard book orders, but also for promotional calendars and notebooks. In this way, for instance small orders of calendars with an individual layout or own advertising pages in notebooks can be realised. Furthermore, according to Graspo, the new system allows a high degree of variability for the interior book blocks. Last, but not least the high energy efficiency of the HP PageWide T250 HD as well as the fact that it operates using water-based inks that contain no harmful pollutants was decisive for the investment in the new system.
The new digital printing system is ideal for small volumes and individual imprinted items.
“Our vision was to automate the production, optimise the warehouse stocks of book calendars and notebooks and be able to offer tailor-made products faster. All in the highest quality of course, comparable with that of offset printing,” is how Stepan Mudrik, Director of Graspo, commented the latest investment. “On purchasing our new HP digital printing system with an integrated production line, we have not only strengthened our important position on the Czech printing market, but have also asserted ourselves once again vis-à-vis other leading printing shops.”
