NL – The promotional products supplier, Deonet, has had the areas environmental effects, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement policies audited by EcoVadis and was subsequently awarded a certificate in platinum. According to own accounts, Deonet thus ranks under the top 1% of the industry in terms of its sustainability efforts.
The company from Eindhoven sells its products in over 60 countries worldwide. The company stated that a focus is placed on sustainability during the entire production process and is embedded in every aspect of the business. As a producer, investor, business partner and employer, Deonet wants to contribute towards the creation of a more sustainable, more intelligent and a more networked world.
The international sustainability organisation, EcoVadis, pursues the aim of creating more transparency and evaluates companies with regards to their sustainability and social responsibility. International CSR standards like the Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000 are implemented for the certification process. The evaluation gives companies and organisations the opportunity to compare suppliers in terms of their sustainability, environmental impact as well as their social and ethical behaviour.
