Clive Allcott is the new Vice Chair of the BPMA.

UK – Clive Allcott, the Board Director of Direct Textiles + Bags Europe, is the new Vice Chair of the BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association). Allcott will support the work of the BPMA Chairman, Haydn Willetts, in future. The latter was delighted about Allcott’s appointment: “Clive Allcott has a great track record with the Board, already responsible for our Charter programme on the Board, his appointment as Vice Chair represents the next steps in development for the BPMA.”

Furthermore, in the course of the new appointments, Jules Adam from WCM+A and Richard Sullivan from Navillus were voted onto the Board with immediate effect. “We also welcome new blood in the form of two new talented business owners, Jules Adam and Richard Sullivan, co-opted to the Board to bring fresh skills and vision to our progressive plans,” Willetts stated.

These appointments were announced at the BPMA’s first event to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2023 and were applauded by the members present. Adam, who took part in a discussion round with the President of the BPMA, Angela Wagstaff, during the event said, “I am delighted to be joining the BPMA Board at this exciting and incredibly important time for our industry. I thoroughly enjoyed my first Board meeting and was impressed with the level of dedication and the amazing plans the BPMA Board are putting together for the future.” Sullivan was also proud to have been appointed onto the BPMA board: “I’m honoured to be invited to join our dynamic BPMA Board and very much looking forward to giving something back to the industry that has supported me for over 30 years.”

Carey Trevill, CEO of the BPMA, explained that the by-elections at the Annual General Meeting in November 2023 are now being made official. She stated that it is important that the competences that are going to be needed for the planning of the next two years are incorporated within the board now, which is why it was the right point in time to make these new appointments.
