D – Staged at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from November 12-14, 2019, the BrauBeviale was once again the meeting point for the international drinks industry. According to the official figures, around 40,000 trade visitors (2018: 40,882) attended the international capital goods trade show for the beverage industry. They informed themselves at the stands of the 1,088 exhibitors about the process chain of beverage production – from high-quality raw materials and innovative technologies, through to efficient packaging and creative marketing ideas. Glass embellishers that are well-known within the promotional products industry and the suppliers of brewery-related items were also represented with stands.
The supporting programme of the trade fair whose motto was “the sustainability of the beverage industry” proved very popular. On the eve of the event two symposiums on the theme export and microbrewery art got the ball rolling. An open exchange of opinions took place in the scope of the Forum BrauBeviale and the trade fair visitors were able to experience the diversity of the world of drinks in the Craft Drinks Area: It was possible to taste beer, spirits and alcoholic-free drinks at eight bars. Small breweries and hobby brewers were able to gain information in the Theme Pavilion brau@home and in the course of impulse lectures at Speakers‘ Corner. Last, but not least the European Beer Stars 2019 were elected: A 145-man strong international jury had determined the winners in 67 categories from among the 2,483 beers submitted from 47 countries in the run-up to the trade show. Furthermore, over 5,000 trade fair guests took the opportunity to play jury members themselves on the first day of the event and elected the Consumer’s Favourite.
