UK – The promotional products agency, Pro-Ad, that specialises in merchandising and marketing organised this year’s edition of the Promotional Merchandise Expo at the Kingston Park Stadium in Newcastle on September 18, 2019. At over thirty stands and thus with the participation of more exhibitors than ever before, the visitors were able to inform themselves about the classics and novelties in the field of haptic advertising. The Pro-Ad employees advised the guests and together with the exhibitors developed initial ideas for future advertising campaigns. As such, all of the participants of the event benefited from the reciprocal, intensive exchange. According to the organisers, this led to a correspondingly positive resonance from the guests. The exhibitors praised the thriving atmosphere, the interested visitors as well as the professional attitude of the Pro-Ad team. “This was our eighth exhibition and we can’t believe how much it has grown over the course of the years,” the organisers commented. “This year’s edition was our best by far. We would like to thank all of the visitors, exhibitors and employees for their contribution towards this fantastic day and look forward to further developing ideas that were established in the course of the event.”
A seminar programme with two lectures rounded off the event: Jon Birrell, CEO of the BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association), explained how companies can implement merchandising and premium items in a particularly viable way for their brands. Michael Owen, among others founder of the advertising agency Angelfysh, of the fashion label Always Wear Red and Blogs 50odd.co.uk gave the audience an introduction into the power of storytelling while establishing a brand.
