I – The Viscom Italia, the international trade show and congress for visual communications, came to an end in Milan on October 12, 2019 after three successful show days. According to Reed Exhibitions Italy, in the course of its 31st edition, the trade show recorded an increase in both the number of exhibitors and visitors: 20,478 trade visitors (2018: 20,127) – including international guests from China, England, Croatia, Russia and Spain – as well as more than 450 exhibitors (13% more than last year) filled Halls 8 and 12 of the Fiera Milano. Among others customising technology trends and novelties – from digital, screen and pad printing, to engraving and laser techniques, through to embroidery – as well as visual communications in the segments signmaking, digital signage, event and POS marketing were showcased at the event. Haptic advertising was especially represented by the promotional textiles segment.
The exhibitors’ offerings were enhanced by the lecture programme, “Viscom Talks” comprising of 31 speakers as well as the “Viscom Live”, a theme park for visual communications” encompassing a labyrinth and a live quiz; according to the official figures both areas attracted around 1,000 visitors. Furthermore, the new “Digital Innovation Area”, which among others offered information on the latest software solutions for graphics and design, as well as the “Elementaria” zone featuring display prototypes focusing on travel aroused great interest. Moreover, the Display Italia Viscom Awards (DIVA) for visual communications were conferred for the ninth time.
