D – Senator has taken a further step in the direction of a long-term company orientation: As of May 1, 2019, the writing instrument specialist took over the largest production building within the Senator group from its landlord, the company Merz.
“The acquisition of the production and administration building ensures that the investments of the past three years in processes and machines are now based on solid ground,” reported Daniel Jeschonowski, managing partner of Senator GmbH. “With an area of more than 20,000 m², we can now operate our printing plant, assembly, injection moulding, mug finishing and administration in a future-proof manner moving forward. This also means, for example, that we obtain the entire electrical energy for our company completely ecologically from renewable resources – with this we are leading the way in our industry.“
Jeschonowski and his wife purchased the company from its former owner, the capital investment company, Perusa Partners, in December 2018. In addition to the location in Germany, the family company that was founded in 1920 also maintains subsidiaries in the Netherlands, France and Great Britain. Senator is one of the leading manufacturers of writing instruments, mugs and cups for the promotional products industry worldwide and has a headcount of around 270 employees.
