UK/IRL – The promotional products industry in the United Kingdom and Ireland made a turnover of around 1.1 billion British Pounds (approx. 1.25 billion Euros) in 2018 – according to the Market Report 2018, which Sourcing City recently presented. The survey encompasses among others an analysis of the promotional products distributors according to size and region, statistics on businesses that have shut down, acquisitions and take-overs as well as the product groups with the highest turnovers. In the survey, which is exclusively available to the members of the Sourcing City Purple Club in detail, the British industry service provider comes to the conclusion that the promotional products market has continually grown in the United Kingdom and Ireland since the economic crisis in 2009 and in spite of the ongoing Brexit debate and further negative global economic factors was able to record an 11.3% growth rate compared to the previous year (1 billion Pounds).

Around 75% of the overall expenditure is spent by companies with an annual turnover of more than 500,000 Pounds (approx. 570,000 Euros). The most popular product groups are once again bags, followed by writing instruments, give-aways made of plastic and mugs.
