D – In future the trade shows TV TecStyle Visions, Wetec and GiveADays will be staged under the aegis of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre, with according to own accounts the aim of strengthening the business area “Industry & Technology”. Under the umbrella brand, Expo 4.0, the three trade shows unite their competences in textile embellishing, promotionwear, work clothes, advertising technologies, digital printing and luminous advertising, digital signage, advertising materials as well as marketing and design.
“The trade show alliance Expo 4.0 has over the past years developed into one of the important industry events of international significance. Our former event partner GMK Trade Shows and WNP Trade Shows see, like ourselves, a great opportunity for the further development of the format through the central control and marketing via the service and foreign network of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre,” explained Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, spokesman of the management of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. Roland Gruber, Managing Director of the publishing company, Gruber, added: “We have been successfully cooperating closely with the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre for many years already. ´The sale to the future overall organiser is for us the next logical step in order to further expand the format of TV TecStyle Vision as the leading trade show for textile embellishment and promotion with the trade fair group, Expo 4.0. We will support the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre with our trade media and will remain their media partner.” Wolfgang Plonner, Managing Director of the WNP publishing company and organiser of Wetec is also of the opinion that the trade show for advertising technologies, digital printing, luminous advertising and digital signage is in good hands with the new organisers. Both Managing Directors were up until now also the organisers of GiveADays, which has been part of the trade fair alliance since 2014, the third trade fair which has now also become part of the portfolio of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre.
According to the official figures, in the spring of 2018, the trade fair group recorded 566 exhibitors from 28 countries and 13,700 trade visitors from 41 countries. The next Expo 4.0 is scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2020. However, this time without the previously integrated POS Masters, which is initially not taking place in 2020.
