I – According to official accounts, this year’s Viscom Italia – the International Exhibition and Conference on Visual Communication – celebrated its 30th anniversary and with an attendance of 20,127 visitors continued on its course of success. Last year, 19,732 visitors attended the three-day event organised by Reed Exhibitions at the Fiera Milano, in 2016 it attracted 18,409 visitors. “More and more professionals see Viscom Italia as the leading business event for the visual communication industry, and their presence, continually increasing, reveals the extraordinary dynamism of the sector,” summed up Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions Italia. “We welcomed visitors and exhibitors at a location that becomes more and more unique every year, allowing us to experience three days of creativity and business. Viscom Italia is an increasingly successful event, the focus of which lies on doing business and sharing experiences with industry players from all over Europe.”
Among others the exhibitors include specialists for large-format digital printing, sign and transfer printing, textile embellishers as well as experts for (laser) engraving, digital signage, POS materials and packaging. Under this year’s motto “The taste of communication”, the Viscom Italia “served” its visitors a diversified menu of events, competitions and live acts, including the conference programme “Viscom Talks”, which placed the focus on visual communication solution success stories and the “Viscom Live” zone, which offered an overview of the complete service spectrum of visual communications, where the guest were also invited to try everything out. Furthermore, the award ceremony of the eighth Display Italia Viscom Awards (DIVA) was on the agenda, which distinguishes the best display solutions.
