pfconept sustainability - PF Concept: New sustainability reportNL – PF Concept has presented its current sustainability report “Serious about Sustainability” 2018. The publicly accessible report, which appeared for the first time last year, documents and explains the company’s own measures to continually improve the holistic approach. For example, the current publication occupies itself among others with key topics such as corporate management, sourcing, products, logistics, production, customers and employees. The report is a clear communication, which “raises the awareness of our distributors and end customers for more sustainable options,” stated Ralf Oster, CEO of PF Concept. “The development of a coherent strategic sustainability approach that will be presented in this year’s report, reflects our sincere commitment in establishing sustainability at corporate level in coordination with other future-oriented developments such as the digitalisation. We have already taken many small steps towards increasing the dynamics throughout the entire company. In this edition of our sustainability report, we are emphasising several of the results we have achieved so far.” For example, in the meantime PF Concept – as announced in last year’s sustainability report – has become a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and is thus subject to external audits.

Long-term measures such as the investment in digital printing technologies at PF Logo Express are also already yielding fruit: Since this technique hardly occurs ink wastage, the measure has already had a positive effect on the consumption of resources. With the Green Concept brand, PF Concept is now reacting to the high demand for eco-friendly products. The focus lies on alternatives to disposable items such as bottles and paper cups, but also promotional bags made of natural materials such as cotton and jute. “We are convinced that it is not only a win/win strategy to focus on sustainability, but also an ethic necessity to go that extra mile,” Oster summed up.
