The Belgian company that has a headcount of around 220 employees operates across Europe in the areas print and digital products. The company structure will be streamlined from five down to two independent companies as one of the biggest reorganisation measures of the five companies of the Schiffer Group (including Michael Schiffer Promotion GmbH that is responsible for selling the Post-it® line up of promotional products). The newly founded Michael Schiffer Dialog GmbH concentrates on the main themes special documents, direct mail and promotional products. The SmartCom GmbH offers its customer advice and the implementation of individual workflow solutions, mediaIT and digital services. The Operating Executive Director of both companies that will start trading on August 1, 2018, is Michael Schiffer, the former Executive Director of the five companies of the Schiffer Group.
According to a press release, thanks to the new partner and the reorganisation measures, it was possible to save more than 100 of the 130 jobs at the location in Rheinberg. “We have good prospects for our location again. With the new strategic partner at our side and the future structures we will be able to demonstrate our performance and competence in Rheinberg again,” the old and new Executive Director, Schiffer, stated. “We are that confident because our customers, suppliers and employees have remained so loyal to us over the past months. That really is remarkable.” The two newly founded companies will cooperate closely with the Joos Group. A joint strategic alignment is planned, which also includes the planning of the capacities and focusing on future areas.
